8 of your best event day social posts
15,000 finishers flooded through the finish line hot (albeit slightly damp!) and fast on Sunday, and twitter wasn’t much different. Here’s our top picks from the 2019 Wiggle Manchester Half…

One step at a time
Job done, slightly slower than Eliud Kipchoge but there’s always next year!
Great support from the crowds encouraging me along the route.

How we got through those 13 miles on the hangovers we were suffering with I have no idea, but we did it! Had the most hilarious day running with these absolute legends in the Manchester half marathon yesterday, thank you all for keeping me laughing the whole way around 🌟 yesterday was my last run of the year for @calmzone and a month today I head to Everest Base Camp! Sad to nearly be at the end of my year for CALM, but I’ve absolutely loved every second so far. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported, you are all so amazing! 🙌🏼❤️

I did it! I had the support of an incredible team and the event organisers were amazing but I broke the Guinness World Record for the fastest female to run a half marathon – 2 hours 16 minute and 3 seconds. This also gave me a 11 minute personal best time. More importantly I help raise money and awareness to YoungMinds mental health charity for children and young people. . . I do have to give a massive shout out to Holt cc for there amazing t-shirts/ logo printing to help promote the Retro Running World Championships next year. And let’s all talk about how great the banana shorts are from Happystride. . . It goes to show consistant training and determination gets you results. Happy Monday everyone. . . #retrorunning2020 #running #backwardsrunning #manchesterhalf2019 #manchesterrunning #womeninsport #womenfitness #womenrunning #rehabilitation #manchester #manchestersport #determination #thisgirlcan #thisgirlcanrun #youngminds #inspiringyoungminds
