Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. We are the only national charity in the UK focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours through campaigning to increase the national investment in brain tumour research to £35 million per year, while fundraising to create a network of seven sustainable Brain Tumour Research Centres of Excellence across the UK.
Our vision is a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases. A world where fewer hearts stop without warning and all of us get more time with the people we love. Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love to a heart or circulatory disease. That’s why the British Heart Foundation exists. With your support, we power ground-breaking research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.
Bury Hospice opened its doors in June 1991 and the charity has helped thousands of people through some of the most difficult times in their lives with specialist, compassionate and palliative end-of-life care. It costs us £4.5m to run our services with a 13% contribution from the NHS. The remainder is raised via our income generation streams which includes fundraising, retail and lottery.
Be part of something special and join our 2025 Manchester Half Marathon team! Your support ensures our family of ten NHS hospitals, clinical services and local care organisations can go above and beyond for our patients. With your help we enable the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment for diagnosis and treatment, fund pioneering medical research to improve our understanding of illnesses and how best to treat them, and create welcoming, friendly environments that allow patients, and their families, to feel at ease during their time of care.
The Matthew22 Fund was established in October 2023 in memory of Matthew Ben Hollingworth, who passed away due to bone cancer in February 2022. Initially created as a "Special Fund" for the Bone Cancer Research Trust, our aim is to broaden our impact and assist a wider community. We raise funds to support selected charitable organisations dedicated to aiding individuals affected by disease and their families.

We help Northern Care Alliance (NCA) NHS Foundation Trust deliver outstanding care across their four hospitals and community services in Bury, Oldham, Rochdale and Salford, by funding innovative equipment, education, research and wellbeing activities. Through your generous fundraising and donations, we are able to go above and beyond the scope of the NHS, supporting NHS staff to deliver the best care possible for over a million patients and their families every year.

Home is a human right. It's our foundation and it's where we thrive. But today in England, 150,000 children are waking up without a safe place to call home. We exist to defend the right to a safe home. Because home is everything. By joining up with #TeamShelter at the Manchester Half Marathon, every step you take through the streets of Manchester will bring us closer to beating the housing emergency 🏠
We’re the leading UK charity stopping the heartbreak and devastation of baby loss and making pregnancy and birth safe – for everyone. We provide free evidence-based information to support people throughout their pregnancy journeys, including those facing complications or baby loss. And we mobilise a powerful community to raise awareness and drive change.
