THE MANCHESTER HALF 2025 IS SOLD OUT
The Manchester Half, the largest half marathon in the North-West, has sold out once more following a high demand for final entries. The popular challenge, which returns on Sunday 12th October this year, sold its final places in under 10 minutes when they were released last Thursday. With over 26,000 participants registered, the event is now one of the largest half marathons in the UK.

The Manchester Half also sold out in 2024 when 24,000 took on the challenge.
The 13.1-mile challenge will take over Greater Manchester, bringing a feelgood atmosphere with plenty of live music and activities for all to enjoy.
Participants are expected to raise over £1,000,000 across various charities and good causes, with organisers boosting this by donating £1 from every entry to local initiatives through a special fund. This initiative will help build a long-lasting sport and physical activity legacy in Greater Manchester.
Tens of thousands of supporters will also help create a vibrant atmosphere along the route, cheering participants on by name thanks to the return of hyper-personalised bibs. After a hat trick of course records last year, the elite race will see athletes hoping to follow in the footsteps of 2024 winners Sean Frame (Wheelchair – 00:48:24) Jack Rowe (Men’s 01:02:12), Lucy Reid (Women’s 01:09:13).
Those who are not able to join on the day will be able to watch a live stream of the action through YouTube and the official Manchester Half website.
Chief Executive of Manchester Half event organiser A.S.O. UK Andrew Smith said: “We’re incredibly proud the Manchester Half, whose continued growth helps nurture a strong sense of community and celebration of Greater Manchester. The event’s impacts span far beyond one single day, with hundreds of charities being supported; uplift to the local economy; and the furthering of a sporting legacy for future generations. October’s event will be nothing short of magnificent, and we’re ready to set records once more this year”.
