THE #MCRHALF GUIDE TO EXPRESS YOURSELF

This year, we’ve been delighted to announce that ‘Express Yourself’ is back for its second edition at the Manchester Half!

Michael and Samantha will bring their sense of humour and determined attitude to the event.

From bib personalisation; volunteer pin badges; and six totally unique medals, we saw how much joy ‘Express Yourself’ created last year – so how could we not bring back the fun this year? In order for our 2024 participants to embrace ‘Express Yourself’, we’ve put together a handy guide to help you get involved this year.

WHAT IS EXPRESS YOURSELF?

‘Express Yourself’ is all about YOU. We believe that each person in our event is beautifully unique, with a different reason for taking on the 13.1 mile challenge. Because of this, you are more than just a number at our event: from your passions, motivations, hobbies and individual journeys, we recognise that you have a unique blueprint that cannot be copied by anyone.

As these ideas may mean slightly different things to each person, we asked 7 people involved in the event this year – including 2023 winner Jack Rowe – what Express Yourself means to them. Check out their responses in the video below…

HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?

There are many ways to get involved in ‘Express Yourself’ both before the event and on the big day itself.  Nearly 5,000 of you have hyper personalised your bibs with your name, motivation for taking part, ‘Persona Stamp’ and more.

If you weren’t able to personalise your bib, check out our 7 Ways to Express Yourself at the 2024 Manchester Half below.
