In July we announced that ‘Express Yourself’ would be the overriding message of the 2023 Manchester Half. That includes giving our participants the chance to hyper personalise their bib, being the first major event in the country to let you choose what design style and images best represent you.

We’re delighted to share that our 2023 finishers medal will continue the Express Yourself message. Just like every person isn’t identical, neither are our rewards. Each person crossing the line will be given a finisher medal design at random, which could be one of 36 different combinations!

 

HOW DOES IT WORK?

We have six core metal medal designs. Each is a different colour and features an iconic quote from a person closely connected with Manchester’s history.

In addition, there are six versions of the medal ribbon in different design styles. The medals and ribbons could be in any combination, giving 36 possible versions to be handed to you as you complete your challenge.

 

WHO IS FEATURED?

We are going to showcase six famous quotes from those who have impacted Manchester through the years. Keep an eye on our social media pages for pictures of each, but for example here is a Mancunian that needs no introduction…

CAN I PICK WHICH ONE I WANT?

Sorry, but to ensure there are no hold-ups or wastage you will have to take the medal given to you by the team. We can promise each is very special and deserves a good home.

Feel free to swap with other finishers in the village after though!

After a huge surge in demand this year we’ve had over 15,500 people register to take part and have closed entries for now. A very final batch of 900 remaining places will be released around the 10^th August, and these will initially go on sale to those who have registered for a priority invite.
