WHAT TO DO IF YOU ENCOUNTER LITTER ON THE COURSE
This past Sunday thousands took part in the Manchester Half and it was a sensational day, helping to raise over £1.5 million for charity and bringing people from all over the world to celebrate in our incredible home.
With so many participants taking on 13.1 miles you may notice some litter in the form of bottles or gel wrappers today and early into the current week. We are undertaking our planned clean-up operation, which covers all 13.1 miles of the route and plenty more in surrounding areas. With hundreds of thousands of supporters spread across Greater Manchester, there’s a lot to cover, and whilst we believe we have already done a good job in most areas, if there is a location that needs further attention, we’d like to know as soon as possible so our team can find a solution.
If you come across any litter on the route associated with the half marathon, please update us by leaving the location and a photo, and we will shareit with our team.
Please note: providing a What3Words location will help our team pinpoint the exact location of the litter you’ve encountered, but you’ll need to download the app here.
