The ASICS Manchester Half Marathon is set to return with over 31,000 taking to the streets of Trafford & Manchester on Sunday 4th October as the largest Half Marathon in the region.  

The 2025 event saw 22,500 people take part and raise over £1.8 Million for local and national charities. The event also created a £8.5 MILLION boost to the local economy, with thousands travelling to Greater Manchester and spending in local hotels, restaurants and shops.

Roads closures will be in effect along and immediately around the Half Marathon route, and those roads in the surrounding area that are open will be very busy so please plan extra times for any journeys you need to take. Many bus services will also be diverted due to these closures.

We recommend using Metrolink to travel to and from the Evevent as there are several stops close to the route athlete village, start line and finish line in Trafford. For further details, please https://tfgm.com/ways-to-travel/tram.

During the event weekend, emails will be replied to within the day between the hours of 8am – 6pm. 

In addition to the email address that is currently available (and will remain so over the event weekend), a resident & business phone line will also be available if needed Friday 2nd October – Sunday 4th October.

On the Friday the phone will not be live all day and you may be expected to leave a voicemail message. A return call will be made to you within 24 hours.

Over the weekend the phone line will be live:

Saturday 3rd October 8am – 6pm

Sunday 4th October (event day) 6am – 4pm
