1️⃣Unlock Your Predicted Finish Time
Start your personalised plan to generate your predicted half marathon finish time, calculated from your current fitness. This prediction sets a pace target for every session type — easy runs, tempo runs, and intervals all paced to you, not a generic template.
As your training data builds up, Runna’s Pace Insights keeps an eye on how you’re doing against those targets and recommends adjustments, so your plan keeps pace with your fitness.
2️⃣Get Familiar With Your Goal Pace
Sub-2:00 pace should feel manageable and repeatable across all 13.1 miles — not something you’re only comfortable holding for a minute or two. Interval and tempo sessions, each set to your own pace target, are what build that familiarity over time.
✅ Every session in your personalised plan comes with a pre-run briefing covering the session’s purpose and pacing focus — so you always know what you’re doing and why before you start.
3️⃣Practice Progressive Runs
Progressive long runs, structured to start steady and build gradually, are how you train yourself to pace evenly under fatigue.
✅ Runna builds progressive long runs into your plan, so you get practice holding pace late into a run — helping the final miles feel comfortable rather than a struggle.
How To Pace Your Sub-2:00 On Event Day
Your target: roughly 5:41/km (aim for a 5:37–5:45/km range). The first 7km should feel comfortable at this pace — don’t get carried away by the crowds. Keep the same range through the middle section, where the effort naturally starts to rise. For the last 7km, run by feel: hold steady if it’s tough, or gradually pick it up if you’ve got more to give.
Whatever your goal on event day, the training that gets you there starts now.
