WHAT’S NEW AT THE MANCHESTER HALF 2024?

As if you needed more reasons to get excited about the Manchester Half 2024, we’re bringing even more excitement to the event day  on Sunday 13th October. This year, we’re  levelling up with some incredible new updates you won’t want to miss. From new supporter zones to energy gels, check out what’s brand new for 2024!

1. PERSONALISED BIBS: NEW DESIGN UPDATE!

Following the hugely popular hyper-personalised bibs introduced last year, these have returned with some exciting new design options. Almost 5,000 of you have personalised your bibs with your  name, motivation for taking part, ‘Persona Stamp and more.

If you didn’t personalise your bib, find out how you can be part of the second edition with our ‘Guide to Express Yourselfat the event.

The new bib design allowed participants to display a ‘Persona Stamp’, ‘Bee-moji’ and more.

2. PUMA CHEER ZONE AND START LINE STREAM (DEANSGATE INTERCHANGE)

Soak up the atmosphere early in the course, as participants and spectators bring the vibes to the PUMA Cheer Zone at Deansgate Interchange. Come along, get involved and watch your loved ones start the challenge live on the ‘Kick-off Cam’ – a large screen showing the start of all participants in their waves. Expect lively beats from a DJ truck, cheer signs and endless energy at this prime viewing sport just 1 mile into the course.

You can find a link to the super handy Supporter Hub – which includes our brand new interactive walking maps for spectators – at the bottom of the page.

Head down to RUNA PUMA HOUSE to customise signs to cheer on your loved one.

3. THE ‘BUZZ HUB’ SUPPORTER ZONE (WHARFSIDE)

As well as Deansgate Interchange (see above), participants can expect to receive a huge boost at the brand new ‘Buzz Hub’ at Wharfside. Here, spectators will be able to see their participant twice as they loop around the intersection in the road, blasting by the iconic Old Trafford stadium to DJ tunes.

Alongside Old Trafford, don’t miss our inflatable bee friends who will also be a part of the action! Check out the Supporter Hub below for more useful spectator information and tips.

Participants will be able to spot the Trafford Stadium in the Wharfside section of the course.

4. APPLIED NUTRITION ISOTONIC GELS AND MORE

Last month, we were delighted to welcome Applied Nutrition onboard as the Official Sports Nutrition Partner. Their Isotonic Energy Gels will be available in the tasty tropical flavour at drink station 2 and 4 of the course.

Not only that, participants can also get their hands on the Applied Nutrition Endurance Carb & Electrolyte sachets and samples in the Event Village before the start, and post-event where they can hydrate and recover by replacing key minerals lost in sweat.

5. INTERACTIVE WALKING MAPS (SUPPORTER HUB)

We’re excited to share 5 handy interactive walking maps, for spectators who want to plan an active and fun day out whilst supporting friends and family at the Manchester Half.

Located within our Supporter Hub, these maps will contain recommended routes for walking; stop-off points for refreshments; and some logistical and transport suggestions.
