Manchester Half Marathon 2023 sells out
The Manchester Half has sold out for the first time in its history, as demand to take part in the flat, city-centre course sky-rocketed this year. Of the 16,000 available places, there was an unprecedented increase in demand, with the last release of final entries selling out in under an hour.
The increased interest in the Manchester Half is owed to the consistently positive word-of-mouth feedback from participants. Previous participants praise exceptional event organisation and communication, as well as the atmosphere and energy from spectators, who cheer participants on from start to finish.
The sell-out status is also owed to the success of the Manchester Half’s sibling event, the adidas Manchester Marathon. The city itself has also become a hub of culture, entertainment, and famous Northern hospitality.
This year’s event is the ‘Express Yourself’ edition, where participants will celebrate their individuality by designing their own bib; receive one of thirty-six possible medal variations at the finish line; and be encouraged to share their own unique story along the way. With the Manchester Half leading the way to create an event experience where participants are ‘more than just a number’, the event is expected to grow in future years and continue to create a ‘buzz’!
